PreDental

At Rutgers-Camden there is a relatively small (ABOUT 15) but very active group of pre-dental students.  Students receive advising and application support and also belong the Pre-dental Society which sponsors a variety of activities, seminars and trips each semester.

Centralized Application Service
Dental School (American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) Standardized Test Information The Dental Admission Test (DAT) is required. It is given on computer throughout the year. It is highly recommended that you take the test by April (16 months in advance of entering Dental School). Contact individual schools to determine if they will accept October scores. A candidate may choose to submit either a paper application form or an online application for the Dental Admission Test (DAT). The paper application is included in the “Dental Admission Testing Program application and preparation materials booklet” available from pre-dental advisors, admission officers and the office of the Dental Admission Testing Program, 211 East Chicago Avenue, 6th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60611. College – Gateway to Dentistry | Rutgers School of Dental Medicine A truly unique program designed to introduce undergraduate students to the wide range of career options associated with the Dental Profession. Rutgers School of Dental Medicine offers all prospective applicants challenging and informative hands-on dental experience. This is an intensive program based at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey. Gateway to Dentistry is a 2-week interactive program that affords each participant a birds-eye exposure to the various aspects of the practice of dentistry. American Student Dental Association National student run organization which protects and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in Dentistry. Offers memberships to pre-dental students.  It is highly recommended that you join and take advantage of the opportunities to learn more about the field.
